Wii Downloads - Unleashing Your Wii

If you want to make the most of the potential of your Nintendo Wii, then downloads are a must. The Wii comes with a huge hard drive and has full multimedia facilities. Instead of just being a games machine, your Wii can be a media centre with music downloads, movie downloads, music videos and game downloads.

Once your have a URL browser installed you can use your Wii for surfing the internet. This unlocks not only traditional internet features, but also the ability to join downloads sites that specialize in providing a huge range of download options. There are a number of download options available. Some have free membership but then charged per item purchased. Others have a monthly membership fee - but the best ones have a one time fee and give access to their library of downloads. If the latest game you are searching for is sold out then try a download site. As for some of the old Nintendo Classics the only way to now get them is through such Wii download sites.

Your Wii connects to the internet through an internal wireless connection which operates off your wireless router. You just enter your WAP code and then Wii will do the rest. Obviously download speeds will be affected by the speed of your router. If you have a particularly large movie or game download then setting up the download before you go to bed can be the best bet to ensure your not sitting around for hours for particularly large downloads.
